This course is designed to prepare students for calculus. In this course, we will complete an algebra review and we will study functions and models in detail. We will pay special attention to specific functions including powers, exponentials, logarithms, rational functions, and trigonometric functions. By the end of the course, students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of each of these functions.
Course webpage: The Mathematics Department maintains a webpage for MATH 1113 which can be found here. The page has important information on tests, homework, and quizzes and every student enrolled in MATH 1113 should be familiar with it.
Students should also regularly check the MATH 1113 course tab in eLC for information specific to our section of precalculus (including the syllabus, extra resources, and important announcements).
